Their Story
A Vietnamese Punjabi Fusion Wedding Blending Tradition with Modernity
Tammy and Munraj envisioned a wedding that honored two distinct heritages — Vietnamese and Punjabi Sikh — while embracing a refined, editorial aesthetic all their own. Set against the coastline of the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, every celebration was intentionally designed to balance heritage, family, and modern romance.
Across multiple days, guests experienced a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony, an energetic Jaggo filled with color and dance, and a timeless wedding ceremony before celebrating late into the evening surrounded by those they love most.
From vibrant florals and lion dancers to sun-drenched ceremony styling and an oceanfront reception, every design decision reflected the couple’s personalities rather than following trends.
TEA CEREMONY & JAGGO
WHAT IS A Tea ceremony and JAGGO?
The Vietnamese tea ceremony is a quiet, deeply symbolic ritual — family gathered close as tea is poured and shared between generations, a gesture of respect, gratitude, and blessing for the couple’s new life together.
The Jaggo, by contrast, is one of the most energetic Punjabi wedding traditions. Family and friends gather carrying decorated pots, singing traditional songs and dancing through the celebration to announce that the wedding festivities have officially begun.
For Tammy and Munraj, the two traditions came together beautifully — the hush of the tea ceremony giving way to the joyful chaos of the Jaggo, and later, lion dancers weaving through the reception in a nod to Tammy’s heritage. It made for an unforgettable weekend filled with music, laughter, and generations celebrating together.
CEREMONY
CEREMONY
Their traditional wedding ceremony brought together every detail with quiet intention. Guests’ shoes lined the entrance in neat rows — a small, familiar tradition marking the sacred space ahead — while the aisle itself was kept simple and elegant, scattered with loose floral bouquets in shades of red, orange, and fuchsia against a soft cream runner.
Munraj and Tammy sat together at the heart of the ceremony, hands folded, surrounded by family and friends as the rituals unfolded — every moment carrying the weight and warmth of tradition.

RECEPTION
As the sun dipped low, Tammy and Munraj slipped away for quiet portraits on the beach — hand in hand along the shoreline, her gown trailing through the sand — before returning to a reception that felt every bit as vibrant as the days before it.
The evening unfolded under string lights, with a dance floor framed by swaying palms and a sweetheart table crowned by a lush floral arch in citrus orange, magenta, and deep red, strung through with marigolds. Guests gathered for heartfelt speeches, incredible energy, and a dance floor that never emptied.
BEHIND THE PLANNING
Behind every effortless wedding weekend is months of thoughtful planning. Multicultural weddings involve balancing multiple ceremony traditions, family logistics, vendor coordination, guest experience, and countless moving pieces.
For this celebration we coordinated: multiple ceremonies across two cultures • cultural ceremony logistics • vendor management • family timelines • transportation • ceremony transitions • reception production
This is where thoughtful planning allows families to remain fully present while every detail unfolds seamlessly.
