Priti & Pavit
south asian WEDDING AT fairmont sonoma
Their Story
South Asian Wedding Rooted in Tradition
Set against the rolling hills of the Fairmont Sonoma in Sonoma, California, this South Asian wedding brought together family and friends for a celebration full of color, tradition, and joy. The resort’s historic architecture, mineral springs setting, and wine country charm created the perfect backdrop for a wedding that felt both timeless and deeply personal.
Over multiple days, family and friends gathered for vibrant pre-wedding festivities, meaningful cultural traditions, and an emotional ceremony that honored Priti and Pavit’s heritage. Every celebration was intentionally designed to keep family, connection, and authenticity at the heart of the experience.
From fragrant florals and thoughtfully curated ceremony details to an elegant reception inspired by the surrounding vineyards, every element reflected the couple’s unique story rather than following trends. The result was a celebration that proved the most beautiful weddings are those that stay rooted in culture and tradition.
JAGGO & SANGEET
WHAT IS A JAGGO & SANGEET?
The Jaggo is a joyous pre-wedding tradition where family and friends gather the night before the celebrations, dancing through the streets with decorated pots of light to announce the upcoming wedding.
The Sangeet that follows is an evening of music and dance, where both families come together to celebrate with performances, laughter, and heartfelt tradition.
For Priti and Pavit, their Jaggo & Sangeet blended these timeless customs with a modern celebration, creating a night filled with color, rhythm, and family coming together.
CEREMONY
CEREMONY
Priti and Pavit’s ceremony honored Sikh tradition through the Anand Karaj, held at a Gurdwara surrounded by family and friends. Live ragis played tabla and led hymns as the couple sat before the Guru Granth Sahib, beginning a ceremony rooted in faith, equality, and shared purpose.
As the congregation gathered on the red carpet, Priti and Pavit completed The Four Lavaan, walking together around the Guru Granth Sahib as sacred hymns were sung. Each round marks a new stage of marriage, symbolizing commitment, spiritual growth, and a life built together with love and humility.
Simple florals and soft pink draping framed the space without overshadowing the ceremony itself — keeping the focus on the sanctity of the Anand Karaj and the beginning of Priti and Pavit’s life together.

BEHIND THE PLANNING
Behind every effortless wedding weekend is months of thoughtful planning. Multi-day Sikh weddings involve balancing ceremony traditions, family logistics, vendor coordination, guest experience, and countless moving pieces.
For this celebration we coordinated:
